Complete Painting partnered with the Lake Erie Crushers to complete a specialty painting project at their minor league baseball stadium in Avon ahead of Opening Day. The project included repainting both concrete dugouts and the outfield home run line stripe along the padded outfield wall.
The work required extensive surface preparation, moisture testing, waterproof priming, precision line striping, and industrial-grade coating systems — all completed under a tight deadline to allow time for vinyl graphics installation before the season began.
Client: Lake Erie Crushers
Project: Paint Dugouts and Home Run Line
Completion Date: April 2026
The Crushers needed durable, professional finishes that could withstand heavy use, outdoor exposure, and strict performance requirements. The dugouts had failing paint and exposed concrete that required complete restoration before repainting. Moisture control and adhesion were major concerns to prevent future coating failures.
The outfield home run line also required an exact, laser-straight finish on vinyl gym-mat style wall padding, with zero paint bleed and long-term adhesion to a difficult surface.
Most importantly, the entire project needed to be completed and fully cured within a compressed timeline before Opening Day.

Our team began by fully preparing the dugouts through scraping, sanding, and HEPA vacuuming to remove all failed coatings. Moisture meters were then used to verify safe moisture levels before applying Sherwin-Williams LOXON XP Waterproofing Masonry Primer to seal and protect the concrete surfaces.
Once primed, the dugouts were finished with two coats of Sherwin-Williams Porch & Floor Enamel in a custom satin “Crushers Green” color.
For the outfield home run stripe, we consulted directly with the wall pad manufacturer to confirm proper preparation and coating protocols. The vinyl wall mats were cleaned with denatured alcohol, de-glossed for adhesion, and precisely measured using laser levels.
To achieve perfectly sharp lines, FrogTape edges were sealed with paintable sealant before application. The stripe was then coated with Extreme Bonding Primer and finished with two coats of Sher-Cryl HPA High Performance Industrial Coating in PANTONE 13-0630 TN Safety Yellow.
The project was successfully completed on schedule and fully cured in time for vinyl decal installation and Opening Day preparations. The finished dugouts featured a clean, durable, waterproof coating system designed for long-term performance, while the outfield home run stripe delivered a crisp, highly visible professional finish.
By combining detailed preparation, specialized coating systems, and precise execution, Complete Painting helped the Lake Erie Crushers prepare their stadium for the se
