In order to properly paint vinyl siding without the risk of bubbling or warping, using a vinyl-safe formula is vital, regardless of which color you choose. For wooden homes, spraying and backbrushing is perfectly acceptable in providing a quality finish that will properly bond to the surface. Conversely, spraying and back-brushing vinyl or aluminum will permanently change the appearance of your siding, giving an unsightly finished product. Spraying aluminum (after the chalk has been properly removed) with airless sprayers and fine-finish guard attachments will prevent "surface spits", brush strokes, and drips, making airless spraying a great way to provide your aluminum or vinyl with a result that doesn't change the appearance of its glassy-smooth finish.
